The villa was originally built as a border post due to its strategic location at the confluence of two valleys. Hosting a medieval gatehouse, then demolished, it proved a convenient stopover for medieval travellers.

The ancient church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was also a reference point for the country folk and a place of great devotion. Today is available to our guests for any type of event or ceremony.
